Your Delivery Has to Be Different

In 2020 while “staying in place” or “quarantining”, ordering items online became more of a way of life since we were stuck at home for more hours than we would have liked. For many, the routine became, Wake up: order something online. Walk around the house: think of what you need to buy online. Lying in bed restless: scrolls online to buy all of the random stuff you thought you needed to decorate your home like one of your favorite HGTV shows.

Maybe it was just me.

But did you happen to come across the hilarious viral video circling social media that depicted a delivery man representing the most popular delivery companies handling packages? He delivered a package to the same home, but each delivery scenario was completely different. Completely, meaning drastically!  Of course it was all #pandemichumor, but it was hysterically relatable. Let me explain.

We all have ordered items online to be delivered to our homes, right? Depending on which delivery service company your item is shipped, will sometimes determine how you receive your packages. This viral video had me in tears because, although exaggerated, some aspects of it happen to be true to an extent.

First, the delivery driver was dressed as if he worked for Amazon Prime. He carefully set the package at the doorstep, picked up a turned over chair and plant, sprayed disinfectant on the box while ever so gently ringing the doorbell. Next, he was a UPS delivery driver, throwing the partially opened package at the door, picking it up, then breaking it open even more, leaving some items on the ground. Not only that, but he detaches the entire screen off the door (LOL! Wait, What?!).
